Amélie Benoistel
Amélie BENOISTEL holds a PhD in Law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and has been qualified to serve as an Associate Professor in Private Law and Criminal Sciences.
She was admitted to the Paris Bar on December 4, 2023, and has since been working as an associate lawyer at the RAVANAS law firm.
Before joining the RAVANAS firm, Amélie held academic positions as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the University of Paris 8 Vincennes–Saint-Denis. She mainly taught Private International Law and International Trade Law at both Master 1 and Master 2 levels.
Amélie holds dual French and Dutch nationality and she completed study programs at the Hague Academy of International Law in the Netherlands.
Her doctoral thesis focused on the recognition of family legal situations within the European Union, and she regularly publishes articles on topics related to international law (such as the law applicable to cross-border successions, and the recognition of foreign acts and judgments).
Committed to socially beneficial initiatives, Amélie was a member of an association dedicated to diabetes research for more than ten years and she currently participates in a research program on cardiovascular complications related to diabetes.
